Hotel Minella Clonmel is nestled between the Comeragh Mountains and the River Suir in Clonmel , Co. Tipperary. The original Georgian house was built by the Malcomsoms in 1863, and the Minella was opened as a hotel by Mr & Mrs Jack Nallen in 1963. Hotel Minella is steeped in horse racing history. Minella Racing is the original home to both the Cheltenham Gold Cup Winner 2021 Minella Indo & Aintree Grand National 2021 Winner Minella Times.
Designed by the nationally acclaimed and fashionable architect, John Skipton Mulvany, who had been extensively employed by the Malcomson’s by the end of the 1850’s. “The House itself is classical, with a pair of full-height bows on the garden elevation, which overlook the River Suir. The main rooms are arranged around an elongated central hall which rises to roof level.”
To celebrate Minella Racing’s recent purple patch and our hotel finally reopening post lockdown we are delighted to introduce some new packages to those who might like to visit Hotel Minella and Minella Racing soon.
