Baileys Hotel is a beautiful Georgian listed building built in 1709 in the heart of Cashel town. Originally home to a branch of the Wesleyan family who was founders of the methodist religion, the house has been lovingly restored by current owners, the Delaney family. Close to the famous Rock of Cashel, Baileys Hotel has seen many stories unfold within its walls throughout history.

From its time as a grain store during the famine to a barracks during the civil war to a local solicitor’s office in more modern times, a lot of people have stepped in past the old front door. Which still remains, along with other original features such as cornicing and fireplaces. In 2006 during the first renovation, more rooms were added to the back of the building but in keeping with the Georgian style.  For the first time, Baileys of Cashel has curated two wonderful visitor experiences for guests of Thoroughbred Country.

An exclusive visit to one of Ireland’s leading young- horse trainer’s yards. Sam Curling specialises in the education and development of young horses. A personal tour will show you behind the scenes in a day of the life of this trainer.  Also on offer as a fabulous add on after a day of exploring all that Cashel has to offer is, A Fireside Chat - Enjoy a drink with a well-known bloodstock expert, in our cosy library for an exclusive, informal chat. A unique, highly personal experience, you will get a fabulous insight into the racing world and behind-the-scenes information.
