Kildangan Stud, located just outside Kildare Town, is one of the most beautiful stud farms in the world. The farm extends to almost 1,500 acres with combined accommodation for more than 400 horses and there is a team of 250 employees. This historic farm dates back to 1706 and is now the home of Godolphin Ireland, a global breeding operation owned by the Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammad. It is also the home of some of Ireland’s leading Thoroughbred Stallions and Mares and a nursery for future champions. Walk through the farms panoramic landscape and see how the horses are cared for on a daily basis. To quote His Highness, ‘In the race for excellence, there is no finish line’. Kildangan Stud is delighted to welcome visitors through Thoroughbred Country.
There are two experiences to choose from; ‘Welcome To Kildangan’ is suitable for larger groups and is approx 2 hours duration. ‘The Making of a Champion’ is the Ultra-Luxe offering and provides access to all areas pass. Guests can choose to overnight in one of the stunning gate lodges at Kildangan and join the vet for morning rounds as well as meet and greet with pedigree experts and management. All catering needs to be provided. Suitable for 2-10 guests.
